One of the Best Books of its Kind

Anyone who wishes to compile a book of combinations should use this book as his model. The author groups tactical problems by theme, rates each combination on a scale of 1-14, and gives the solutions at the end of each section. Nothing particularly difficult about that, but some writers don't have the decency to follow the above simple and fairly obvious steps. I commend the author for this no-nonsense, moderately priced book.
I rate the book a 9, rather than a 10, primarily because it takes no extraordinary intellectual effort to write such a book.

One of the best chess books ever writtern

I can't imagine why the publisher has let this book go out of print. It cannot have been that on one liked it. Possibly it didn't get the kind of advertising that it needed. It is certainly one of the most valuable books for learning the game that I have ever seen.

The seller are too greedy!!!!

For what ground this seller sell this book in 200 U.S. dollars. If after studying this book, I become Kasparov or Bobby Fischer, I think even 20 thousand dollars is not expensive. With so many this kinds of book available, only a fool would buy this book. In fact, the book " combination motif "by the same author already a good book but the book only cause 25 dollars!!!
